Once a parent with young children myself, COSP program helped me navigate countless of uncertainties in the parenting journey and gave me a valuable tool to understand my children’s needs, strengthen our bond and foster a secure relationship with my children. I have also witnessed the positive changes which COSP brought to other families. I look forward to working with you in raising resilient, secure and emotionally intelligent children through COSP.

Connected Lives is an early intervention charity which uses Circle of Security Parenting as one of a number of programmes to support parents and partners at the earliest possible stage. We deliver groups out of our hubs in partnership with Early Help Teams, perinatal mental health teams, health visiting teams and schools. I work as the Director for the charity and deliver groups out of the Central and North West London Hub. We run groups across Westminster, Brent, Kensington and Chelsea and Harrow. We run daytime in person groups and also some online evening groups. The majority of groups have a mixture of parents who have found the groups for themselves and parents who have been signposted to us by another professional. Together with a colleague, Dr Clare Gates I helped introduce Circle of Security Parenting to the UK and have been running groups for 12 years. I am also a certified COS-P Fidelity Coach.

I am a licensed social worker, focused on building positive relationships. I enjoy facilitating Circle of Security with parents and care givers with children of all ages, with specialization and experience working with young children under the age of five, children with a history of trauma, and children with special needs. I also have experience facilitating COS with divorced/co-parenting caregivers, grandparents, and kinship care. My background includes early childhood special education and I have my master’s of social work. I think COS is the most powerful, parenting program available and I have seen the program provide parents strategies and understanding that has had a literal overnight effect in increasing positivity and security in the relationship between child and caregiver and lead to a decrease in challenging behavior.

Gen currently works at the Mater as an Obstetric Social worker, and she also specialises in parent education and mentoring parents with the passage into parenthood for the first time, or with the added demands of a growing family. In addition, Genevieve has her own four children so knows firsthand the challenges of raising kids today.

Gen runs regular parenting groups for parents including Tuning into KIDS and COSP looking to take their understanding of what our children need to the next level, as well as develop some strategies that can help in making the juggle of raising kids smoother.
