I love teaching parents the Circle of Security Training Model. It is a very useful model to help parents understand the attachment needs with their children.
I am trained in both the Circle of Security DVD course as well as the Strange Situation Protocol. I have been using these interventions with COS for the past 15 years in Missoula, Montana. I use them as a stand alone intervention or coupled with parent and child therapy to have a common and shared language with the parents as we try to build new pathways and recognize what is going on for their child. I also train agency and school staff about this model to help them better meet the attachment needs of the kids they work with specifically. Finally I train birth, foster and adoptive families. I conduct Circle of Security Parenting courses in 8-week durations as evening weekly sessions, three times a year (in school term times) in metropolitan Melbourne in Victoria. I was trained as a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator in 2017, and my previous background was 12 years as a music therapist clinically trained in Attachment theory, and psychodynamic psychotherapy at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge U.K. From 2003 to 2017 in the U.K and in Australia in my clinical work, I worked with children and families in children centres, children and adults with intellectual disabilities, forensic psychiatry, dementia, and Acquired Brain Injury. I am also an ordained Pastor of the Lutheran Church of Australia, and in addition to Circle of Security Parenting courses I run a separate course bringing together Attachment science and theology for Christian parents or anyone interested in exploring the links between science and faith.

I primarily provide COSP in an individual or couples setting with parent(s) allowing deeper therapeutic exploration into shark music, personal experiences of parenting, and other factors impacting current parenting and the parent-child relationship.

I am a huge fan of the Circle of Security programme as a gentle yet powerful way to develop connection and understanding between parent and child. I have seen seemingly magical outcomes and for this reason I love facilitating COS-P. I facilitate and co-faciilitate groups in person and on line.

I spend 4 months of the year in Melbourne, Australia and facilitate groups there as well as in London.
