Gen currently works at the Mater as an Obstetric Social worker, and she also specialises in parent education and mentoring parents with the passage into parenthood for the first time, or with the added demands of a growing family. In addition, Genevieve has her own four children so knows firsthand the challenges of raising kids today.

Gen runs regular parenting groups for parents including Tuning into KIDS and COSP looking to take their understanding of what our children need to the next level, as well as develop some strategies that can help in making the juggle of raising kids smoother.

I provide COSP training one on one via telepractice (online). I also incorporate Circle of Security content into speech pathology sessions where this is helpful for families of children with any difficulties with talking, understanding, connecting, social skills and feeding and mealtime concerns.

I work in the men’s and fathering space as a ‘Social Worker’ and ‘Parenting Program Facilitator Counsellor. I am passionate about men’s health and wellbeing addressing choices of behaviour.

Authentic Men Org.

The aim of ‘Authentic Men Org’ is to provide men friendly focused services that resource and support toolboxes to lower the impact of societal issues that inform negative choices of behaviour. Service support that targets men directly, not as the problem but the solution.

How? Facilitating evidence-based programs to men, no matter what psycho-social or socio-economic background in support of better outcomes for them, their families and children.

Mission is to help men to achieve, build their own communities and meet expectations so generational and societal issues can be addressed with a focus on lowering the impact of choices that inform FDV, Suicide and Risk. Men’s Health and Wellbeing as the catalyst of the grassroots. 

Current workshops are facilitated in partnership with local and state governments, community centres, rehabs and in partnership with other lead orgs.
