Marian has worked in the community services sector in Australia for 15 plus years. Marian is passionate about early intervention, childhood development and building strong community supports and connections.

Marian offers online sessions, online evening sessions, along with daytime sessions and is happy to negotiate travel to facilitate a course.

I’m a child psychologist and a school counselor. I my professional activity, I work with groups of parents, mothers and fathers, with preschool and primary/ secondary school children. I frequently use the Circle of security program within my professional activities.

I am the social worker of the First Thousand Days clinic at The Women’s hospital. Our program supports babies that have been exposed to substance use during pregnancy. We have a paediatric clinic and multidisciplinary team that supports families organising regular check ups to keep an eye on how babies are growing and developing.

I am a Domestic Violence Specialist, and do outreach work for a women’s refuge. I provide case management support services, DV education and facilitate Circle of Security for clients who have escaped domestic and family violence.

At Knik Tribe, we use COSP to help families form a healthy attachment to their children while understanding the needs behind their behaviors. I work, live and play on the Ahtna and Dena’ina land. The land of the Midnight sun.

Becoming a parent is a major life transition and many feel as though they are navigating this new territory without a road-map.​ The COS-P Program, developed by Circle of Security International© uses decades of attachment theory research to show us that what we may see as behavioural “problems” in our child can be reframed to ask “how can I improve my relationship with my child?”

There is no judgement or expectation to achieve “perfect parenting” in these groups. Individuals or couples may also like to enquire about working with me to learn the course content as part of, or separate to, an established counselling relationship. The program runs over 8 sessions, allowing parents a safe space to discuss, reflect and learn about how our parenting patterns and beliefs may have formed, and make conscious decisions about how we can put the positive intentionality, that all parents innately have, into action.

Rebecca runs Circle of Security on a need only basis. Sessions with individuals and couples who wish to undergo the full program can arranged or enquire about counselling support for parents that includes the discussion of attachment parenting concepts within therapy sessions.

I am exploring ways to bring COSP more widely to mental health, pediatric and public health settings in order to bring an attachment lens to bear on preventive mental health work for children from infancy through adolescence and their parents in MA. Right now, I am not leading groups directly to parents.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I work with families who have been impacted by trauma, foster care and/or adoption.
