I am an independent Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. I have experience with prematurity, complex medically involved children, children and families impacted by trauma, involvement with child welfare, perinatal depression, intimate partner violence. I work with providers, families, and children PN-8.

20 + years as Infant Development Consultant and 5 years facilitating the wonderful COSP program.

Currently employed as a student well being social worker with the Queensland Education Department (Australia). In this role I hope to offer COSP training to parents of students at the various schools in my district, both in-person and remote.
I also undertake Men’s Behavioural Change Program/Men’s Behavioural Intervention Program work and include COSP content in the groupwork of those programs. In the future I hope to offer COSP group and individual programs to person identified by the court system as having used violence against their partners and children.

I remain open to collaboration of course delivery, either in-person in south-east Queensland or remotely to any parts of Australia.

Humanistic Neuroaffirmative Therapy and Consultancy is an approach that combines the principles of humanistic therapy with a deep understanding of neurodiversity. It focuses on affirming and celebrating the unique neurological makeup of each individual, recognizing that neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent traits, are valid and valuable aspects of a person’s identity.

I enjoy working collaboratively with caregivers to help them grow as providers for their children. I believe that all parents want what’s best for their kids, but there are many barriers that can get in the way. I have seen the COS-P program help parents overcome the internal and emotional barriers that make parenting more difficult. COS-P teaches valuable skills to connect with children, make parenting easier and learn reflective skills that benefit individuals in all areas of their life.

I also am trained in the COS-Classroom approach and work with classroom teachers on integrating Circle of Security into their relationships in the classroom.

As a father myself, I know the importance of fathers in a child’s life. I always encourage and support father involvement when appropriate, but I also have experience and am comfortable working with any caregivers (moms, dads, grandparents, other relatives, single or two parent homes, same-sex parents, foster parents, etc.)
