As an infant mental health provider and Child Parent Psychotherapist, I incorporate COSP into my work with families to enhance their understanding of meeting a child’s needs and to give us a common language to discuss those needs. I typically work with the family to find when doing COSP would work for them and the best platform (in person, telehealth).

Our agency serves the Native American population of NM to include the 19 pueblos of NM.

I began my career as an Infant Mental Health therapist, utilizing attachment and relationship based framework to support caregivers of children ages 0-6, as well as pregnant individuals. I continue utilizing this framework in my current work in a medical setting with children ages 0-18. COSP is rooted in attachment and relationship building, which is an approach I’ve experienced success with all aged individuals with varying mental health needs. I currently offer individual COSP program facilitation.

I am currently serving as a Safe Care Coordinator, dedicated to working with substance-exposed infants and their families to develop comprehensive plans for SAFE CARE. My journey in this field is backed by nearly 18 years of experience working with families and individuals facing various levels of crisis. In addition to my role as a Safe Care Coordinator, I am a certified pastoral and family counselor, which enhances my ability to provide holistic support.

For eight years, I worked as a Help Me Grow Care Coordinator, where I supported caregivers in monitoring their young children’s developmental milestones. This experience has equipped me with the skills to address the unique challenges that families face during critical early childhood stages. Furthermore, I am an endorsed Infant Family Associate with expertise in infant and early childhood mental health, allowing me to effectively support both infants and their caregivers.

Recently, I became a certified facilitator for the Circle of Security International, enabling me to offer valuable training and resources to parents, either individually or in small group settings. My focus extends to organizational groups, particularly those specializing in support for mothers, though I am equally committed to working with fathers to foster secure attachments and bonds with their children. Through my multifaceted approach, I strive to empower families and promote healthy relationships, ensuring that both parents and children thrive in nurturing environments.
