With over 45 years continuing experience with families, educators and allied health, Michelle is passionate about empowering families and educators to enrich their relationships with children. Along with a number of other courses and workshops, Michelle facilitates Circle of Security Parenting and Circle of Security Classroom (for early years educators) in early childhood, welfare and community services. She also mentors allied health and social workers to better support families in their parenting journey. I have eighteen years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. The breadth of my experience includes working with immigrant families, domestic violence victims, children and families involved with the child welfare system or who have experienced significant trauma, and critical life transitions or losses. My passion is helping parents, caregivers, and other professionals understand the meaning of a child’s behavior and help them respond in effective, growth-promoting, attuned, and sensitive ways. Currently, I’m a clinical supervisor, child and family psychotherapist, early childhood mental health consultant, and trainer. I offer the Circle of Security one-on-one and in groups.

I run COSP groups on a regular basis, either in a school or in a private home.

Trained as a COSP Parent Educator in 2015 and have facilitated the program since then with couples, individual parents, and groups. I have ten+ years experience as an Infant Development Consultant working with families who have children with a wide variety of developmental delays or disabilities. Currently working as a Family and Youth Counsellor in family preservation helping parents build capacity and learn how to parent more safely and more effectively. I am available to work with individuals, couples, or groups both in person and online.

I facilitate COSP at the Learning Community Center at South Omaha only for participants who are active in the program.

I currently provide Child Parent Psychotherapy in an outpatient setting and specialize in caregivers and children ages 0-5
