Find-A-Facilitator

I have worked with young children and their caregivers for many years and offer Circle of Security Parenting classes to parents and caregivers of young children. Courses offerings can be tailored based on the individual/organizations needs and availability of the facilitator. Courses may be offered in person or online (virtual). I am also a registered facilitator of COSP-Classroom.

I have worked as a Social Worker in a variety of settings (birth- 6, adolescent mental health, child welfare and private practice) and have over 28 years of experience supporting parents/caregivers including foster, kin and adoptive families.

I have also been the chairperson for the local Dads Matter Committee, raising the community’s awareness of the important role fathers and father figures play in the lives of children.

I provide both individual and group formats recognizing the different needs of participants. I, myself, am a parent of 4 within a blended family, including 2 adopted children. Implementing COSP principles with my own family has been a game changer.

Program Coordinator of Recreating the Village Program, Wachiay Friendship Centre:

Offers the The Circle of Security® Parenting™program, to provide an opportunity for parents to strengthen healthy and secure attachments with their children, in a safe and supportive community. This program aims to recreate the village, providing gatherings, social supports, and Elder-led Indigenous cultural teachings for Indigenous and non-Indigenous families.

I have worked with families in various capacities for over 25 years. Walking alongside parents and caregivers though life’s ups and downs.
Currently delivering CoSP and other parent workshops through Chilliwack Community Services and CoSP by donation through Chilliwack Effective Parenting.

As a qualified counsellor working with adults, young people and children, I also run Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) facilitation groups for parents of children between the ages of 4 months and 6 years old. These groups run over the course of eight weeks, one 1.5 hour session per week, and can be held at times dependent on demand.
