I love teaching parents the Circle of Security Training Model. It is a very useful model to help parents understand the attachment needs with their children.
I am trained in both the Circle of Security DVD course as well as the Strange Situation Protocol. I have been using these interventions with COS for the past 15 years in Missoula, Montana. I use them as a stand alone intervention or coupled with parent and child therapy to have a common and shared language with the parents as we try to build new pathways and recognize what is going on for their child. I also train agency and school staff about this model to help them better meet the attachment needs of the kids they work with specifically. Finally I train birth, foster and adoptive families. Fleurieu Families provides support to families through outreach case management and parenting education workshops/programs. it is our goal to work with parents to build their parenting capacity and assist them in feeling confident, empowered parents with a strong and loving relationship and connection with their children.

I hold a small private counselling practice supporting both children and adults through life events and struggles. I specialise in recovery from complex trauma, specifically concerning experiences of sexual abuse. I use COSP to support parents and carers to improve and sustain secure attachments with their children following experiences of extreme trauma.
I also am employed by the NSPCC (National Society for the Protection and Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and deliver the Letting the Future In programme which is a year long programme to support children to recover from sexual abuse. Within this role I have also developed and delivered sexual abuse prevention training to organisations such as police, schools, and Foster Carers.
In addition to my professional experience I am an adoptive parent to two children and have first hand understanding of the impact of ruptured and disorganised attachments.
I provide COSP in groups face to face, on Zoom, and also 1-1 sessions as requested (face to face or on Zoom).
