Ben completed his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Cedarville University in 2002 and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota in 2005. He has been trained in numerous evidence-based practices to treat relational, emotional, and behavioral concerns. In the first nine years of his career, he worked with children and families, including refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals and families impacted by domestic and international adoption. Since 2012, he has enjoyed working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families of all ages. His areas of interest include attachment, adoption/foster care, family of origin issues, parenting, relational connection, communication, trauma, abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, early childhood mental health, child and brain development, and parent-child relationships. Most recently he has provided Circle of Security Parenting training through individual sessions with parents.
