I am an experienced, passionate occupational therapist who has worked with children and their families for over 10 years. I will be delivering Circle of Security programs in person in Chelsea, 3196 VIC, as well as online in 2025.

I support a family inclusive practice, specifically supporting families with children who have mental health challenges. I am planning to use COS within my current role as a FAPMI Coordinator (Families of parents with a mental illness) in Victoria as well as extend the program through Uganda Africa.

I am a psychiatrist with a psychodynamic psychotherapy private practice. I am also a family consultant at Allen Creek Preschool, where we offer Circle of Security Parenting groups to parents of students.

I provide groups on line for the moment, and parents are welcome regardless the age of their children. Grandparents are also welcome! New groups start continuously depending on demand. No more than 8 participants in each group. Mostly evening classes, but that too is depending on demand. I operate in Brussels on CET (Central European Time).

I have been a Child & Family Therapist for the past 12 years. All of my work is based on the research of neurobiology and the science of attachment. I facilitate therapy using the following evidence-based modalities: Circle of Security Parenting, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (IoWA Model), Child Parent Psychotherapy, Mulit-Dimensional Family Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Donna Hensley Beck is the Clinical Director of Bridging Families at Crossnore Communities for Children. Donna has worked in social work for more than 30 years. Her background includes working with child welfare agencies and mental health agencies. Donna also spent time teaching at a university. As a social worker, Donna believes in people’s capacity to overcome adversity and experience healing from complex experiences when we come alongside them with support. Donna graduated from Mars Hill University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master’s in Social Work, and from Capella University with a Doctorate in Social Work. She holds a License of Clinical Social Work in North Carolina and Tennessee. Donna is a Circle of Security Facilitator and uses attachment theory to inform her work with families and children.
Donna grew up in Weaverville, North Carolina, and currently lives in Roan Mountain, Tennessee, with her dogs. Donna has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, photography, and traveling.
