Danielle is a Clinical Psychotherapist and Therapeutic Play Practitioner, with undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Psychology, a master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health, clinical training in Play Therapy and over ten years’ experience in the Human Services field. Danielle entered this field because she has a passion for working with children, adolescents and their families to live wholesome, healthy, and happy lives. Danielle has an extensive background in working with children and their families, in a vast array of backgrounds and have experienced trauma and/ or disadvantage through complex or multiple needs.

Danielle’s approach to working with clients is non-judgmental, client centred, strengths based, trauma informed, and solution focused. Danielle values the importance of working alongside families, early intervention and allowing children to realise and develop their own strengths and capabilities.

I am a social worker who works with a range of clients from varying backgrounds. I practice inclusive, collaborative and culturally capable social work compassionately, respectfully, and in a caring way. I never take it for granted when I hear a person’s story; I appreciate how difficult it can be to open up and trust someone with your vulnerability. I use a range of evidence based therapies that are proven to be effective in helping to quickly relieve the symptoms of anxiety and depression, grief and loss, behaviours of concern. As a COSP facilitator, I have been complimented on not being judgemental when parents provided examples of their current parenting styles. It is important that participants are able to share information freely to enable the learning process. I have a number of years experience in facilitating the COSP program and highly value the experience this program offers to parents. I am flexible in work hours to suit the individual needs of parents who wish to take part in this reflective parenting program.
